Magical Text Unit Summary - Reading students will become detectives finding clues in reading that help them to decode, decipher, and comprehend for maximum understanding of text. When students read a workbook question, they will use investigative skills to determine the clues which tell them what specific action is required to answer the questions: under, over, around, next to, north, south, east, west, box. They will do a visual ranking activity to sort words by cardinal directions and annotative directions. Through this process students learn to read for content and expectations. As a result, they will be able to complete their workbook for a grade.
